How we make money

WeBall is free today and makes no money. Two paid tiers are coming — Plus at $4.99 a month and Pro at $9.99 — that pay for the agent's work: a written daily brief, more alerts and pushes, quiet hours, playbooks and league sync. Every tier sees the same grades. Picks, unlimited notifications and your betting data are not for sale at any price, and no sportsbook pays for placement.

Anyone reading betting content should ask who is paying for it. Here is the honest answer for this one.

Right now: nobody

WeBall is free. There is no subscription yet, no advertising, no sponsored content and no affiliate revenue from sportsbooks. The product currently generates no income at all, and it costs real money to run — odds data, servers, database hosting and language-model usage are monthly bills paid out of pocket.

This page is being changed before a paid tier exists, because that was the promise: this page changes first.

Now: two paid tiers are coming

Plus is $4.99 a month ($39.99 a year). Pro is $9.99 a month ($79.99 a year). Neither is live yet; when checkout opens, the billing_live flag on this page flips and the pricing page reads it.

The rule that every tier is held to: every tier sees the same grades. You pay for the agent's work, not for picks.

What Plus and Pro buy:

  • A daily brief with a written summary. Free gets a template brief in the app; Plus and Pro get a short written narrative, delivered at your hour. Pro adds a midday gameday refresh, email delivery and a 90-day archive.
  • More alerts. 3 active alerts free, 12 on Plus, 25 on Pro — with team, slate, board and slip scopes and all six alert types on the paid tiers.
  • More pushes — but never unlimited. 2 a day free, 6 on Plus, 10 on Pro. There is no unlimited tier at any price; the cap is a responsible-gambling ceiling, not a paywall.
  • Custom quiet hours. Everyone has quiet hours; Plus and Pro choose theirs.
  • Playbooks. One-tap presets that bundle alerts and brief blocks.
  • Sleeper league sync. One league on Plus, five on Pro.
  • A bigger assistant allowance. 20 messages a day free, 60 on Plus, 100 on Pro.

What they never buy: picks. The bet finder, the parlay builder, every grade and every calculator are free, so paying is provably not "the picks".

What free keeps

  • Every grade, every market, the market's own probability beside each one.
  • The record and the calibration ledger.
  • All the calculators and every guide.
  • A daily template brief in the app.
  • 3 active alerts and 2 pushes a day.
  • 20 assistant messages a day.

These limits will be listed here and in the app, and they will not be tightened without this page changing first.

Not for sale at any price

  • Unlimited notifications. Every tier has a hard daily cap.
  • In-play alerts. Everything is pregame by design.
  • Picks. No tier tells you what to bet.
  • Your betting data. Should bet tracking arrive, that data exists to compute your own results — not to be packaged and sold.

No affiliate revenue, no book pays for placement — unchanged

Sportsbooks are not ranked or recommended. Where a book appears, it is because it prices the market being shown. Best-price selection is mechanical: the engine takes the best available number, without any commercial weighting.

There is no incentive to make you bet more. Nothing in the product's economics improves when you place additional wagers — a subscription is paid the same whether the brief says "bet" or "pass", which is why grades routinely say NEUTRAL.

No content is paid for. Every guide, glossary entry and documentation page is written by WeBall. No sportsbook, data provider or third party has commissioned, reviewed or approved any of it.

Cancel, pause, refunds

  • Cancel any time. Your tier runs to the end of the period you paid for, then drops to free. Your alerts and preferences are kept; they simply stop firing beyond the free caps.
  • Pause up to 3 months. Off-season pauses are a first-class option, not a retention trick.
  • Refunds. 14 days on annual plans, no questions. Monthly plans are not refunded — cancel instead and keep the rest of the month.

Personalized output is held to the editorial policy

A brief written for you is still a WeBall page. Market consensus is printed beside every grade it mentions, the market's view comes before "where WeBall disagrees", alternate ladders never appear in it, and any sentence about performance is only written where the calibration ledger is claimable. A confidence number you cannot audit is decoration, and that does not change because you paid for the paragraph around it.

Common questions

Will WeBall always be free?

The free tier stays, with its limits stated here rather than quietly tightened. The data feeds and infrastructure cost real money every month, so two paid tiers are coming; this page describes them before checkout exists.

Do sportsbooks pay for placement?

No. No book pays to appear, to be rated, or to be recommended. Books are shown because they price the market, and best-price selection is mechanical.

Does paying get me better picks?

No. Every tier sees exactly the same grades, and the bet finder and parlay builder stay free. Paying buys the agent's labour on your behalf — watching, filtering and delivering at a bounded volume — not a different answer.
