What we collect
If you sign in: your email address. Sign-in uses a one-time link rather than a password, so no password is stored.
Usage analytics: aggregate page-level data — which pages are viewed, from what broad region, on what device class. This is not tied to your identity and is not used to build a profile.
Server logs: standard request logs including IP address, kept for operational and abuse-prevention purposes and rotated.
Local storage in your browser: small preferences such as recent searches and calculator inputs. This stays on your device and is never transmitted.
What we do not collect
- No payment details. The service is free and processes no payments.
- No betting account credentials. WeBall never asks for sportsbook logins and cannot access your betting accounts.
- No cross-site tracking. No advertising pixels, no third-party ad networks, no data brokers.
- No sale of personal data, in any circumstances.
Why we collect it
Email exists to authenticate you and to associate saved boards with your account. Analytics exist to understand which content is useful. Logs exist to keep the service running and to prevent abuse.
Nothing is collected for advertising, because there is no advertising.
Processors
The service runs on third-party infrastructure that necessarily processes some of this data:
- Vercel — website hosting and aggregate analytics.
- Supabase — authentication and database.
- Fly.io — API and background processing.
- Upstash — caching and rate limiting.
- Anthropic — powers the in-app assistant, when you use it.
- Resend — delivers sign-in emails.
Each processes data under its own terms as our service provider.
The AI assistant
Messages you send to the in-app assistant are transmitted to a language model provider to generate a response, along with relevant odds data. Do not include personal or sensitive information in those messages.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists. Server logs are rotated on a short cycle. Aggregate analytics contain no personal identifiers and are retained indefinitely.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by emailing hello@weball.app. Deleting your account removes your email address and any saved boards.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA or similar legislation. We will honour valid requests under those regimes.
Children
The service is not directed at anyone under 21 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
